It also optimizes the 1.003 DISP performance of the UUT. 1.004 DISP The cabinet must be removed from the unit to perform the 1.004 DISP adjustment procedure. 1.005 DISP Allow the unit to warm-up for 20 minutes in a 20-30 1.005 DISP degree Celcius environment before performing this 1.005 DISP adjustment procedure. 1.006 DISP The FACTORY HORIZONTAL and FACTORY VERTICAL CAL routines 1.006 DISP are selected from the UTILITY menu of the Oscilloscope. 1.006 DISP These routines use both front-panel controls and 1.006 DISP external standards in response to instructions displayed 1.006 DISP on the CRT readout. 1.007 DISP A complete adjustment consists of the following cal 1.007 DISP These must be performed in the order listed below: 1.007 DISP 1. CRT Adjustment 7. Vertical Gain Adjustment 1.007 DISP 2. Low Frequency Output Compensation 1.007 DISP 3. Factory Horizontal Cal 1.007 DISP 4. Factory Vertical Cal 1.007 DISP 5. High Frequency Step Response Adjustment 1.007 DISP 6. Attenuator Compensation 1.008 HEAD {CRT Adjustments} 1.009 DISP This procedure requires adjustments to the Display 1.009 DISP Driver Board. 4.001 DISP One dot should be displayed. 4.002 DISP Use a combination of the TOGGLE button and The General 4.002 DISP Purpose knob to center the single dot at the center of 4.002 DISP the screen. 4.003 DISP Continue to press the TOGGLE button and adjusting the 4.003 DISP dot to center with the General Purpose Knob until the 4.003 DISP dot stays centered while pressing the TOGGLE button. 4.004 EVAL Does the dot stay centered while pressing the TOGGLE button? 5.001 DISP Select DONE when you have the appropriate display. 5.002 DISP Two vertical cursor lines are displayed. 5.003 DISP Use a combination of the TOGGLE button and The General 5.003 DISP Purpose Knob to position the vertical lines 8 divisions 5.003 DISP apart, centered horizontally. 5.004 EVAL Are the two cursor lines 8 div apart, centered horizontally? 10.001 JMPT 10.008 10.002 DISP Adjust the cursors until the [30]Volts readout is 6V. 10.003 DISP Note the cursor display error.(Are the cursors more or 10.003 DISP less than 6 divisions apart.) 10.004 DISP Slide the cabinet off the instrument and adjust R112 10.004 DISP on the Display Driver Board to compensate for the error. 10.004 DISP For example if if the [30]Volts readout at 6V, the 10.004 DISP cursor display equalled 6.2 divisions.
